Oscar Host Jimmy Kimmel responded to inappropriate Trump. He was the "host with the most!"

Kimmel's comeback to Trump is worthy of an encore!
Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday called out former President Donald Trump after Trump took to social media to insult Kimmel.
"Trump just keeps walking into traps": Morning Joe buries Trump for latest humiliation. Kimmel read out Trump’s Truth Social post live from the Oscars stage just before the last award of the night was presented for best picture.
After sharing clips of "kitchen lady" Senator Katie Britt's widely mocked State of the Union response and the corresponding parody of the Alabama Republican's speech on Saturday Night Live, the hosts of "Morning Joe" focused on Donald Trump's latest humiliation when he went to war with comedian Jimmy Kimmel late Sunday night.

According to co-host Joe Scarborough, the former president's old tricks are blowing up in his face these days, after he used his Truth Social platform to attack Kimmel's hosting performance during the Oscars ceremony.

After Trump sneered at Kimmel by writing, "His opening was that of a less than average person trying to be something that he is not and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed-up but cheap ABC talent, George Slopanopoulos," Kimmel returned fire by reading the post live on-air and then adding, "Well, thank you, President Trump. Thank you for watching, I'm surprised you're still — isn't it past your jail time?"
Jimmy Kimmel to Trump, "Isn't it past your jail time?"

That in turn led to uproarious laughter from the Hollywood crowd and immediately made headlines, with Trump having no way to quickly respond with the same kind of reach.

As Joe Scarborough pointed out, the former president set himself up to fail. 😜😒😏

"That's the thing, he just doesn't — I guess he doesn't understand," the MSNBC host explained. "He just keeps walking into traps.

Trump acts old, he keeps — again, you know, it's like an old fighter that's past his prime. The things that may have worked, that may have been disruptive six, seven, you know, 2016, everybody knows what's coming."

"He's the butt of the joke for millions of people last night," he added.

Trump era look a-likes - throw backs with egos

It's probably coincidental, but it's difficult to ignore too many people in the Donald Trump administration who have weird mirror look a-likes. In the past, I've commented on how Steve Bannon (aka in Saturday Night Live skits is "the Grim Reaper") has an eerie Caucasian resemblance to the North Korean evil dictator Kim Jong-un.  Steve Miller, a communications ghoul for Donald Trump, has an uncanny resemblance to Bella la Gosse, the movie monster of 1950s fame.  In the "femme fatale" category, the White House disappearing act (where is she now?) known as Kellyanne Conway, is a stand in for the Disney character's rendition of the 101 Dalmations, fur obsessed witch, Cruella de Ville.

Moreover, Jarad Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump- who are Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law, are the Toy Story figures for Ken and Barbie, by Mattel (incidentally, made in China) dolls.

Well, the list gruesomely goes on.  Now there's right winger Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who looks more like Morticia Addams from the TV sitcoms than the real character, herself. Was it the real Sarah Huckabee Sanders who showed up speaking at the White House press briefing last week, instead of "Spicey"? She looked suspiciously like Morticia Addams, rehearsing for a remake of The Munsters or theAddams Family?

Morticia Addams? Or is it Sarah Huckabee Sanders?

Honestly, it's no wonder the comedians have such amazing fodder when it comes to writing Donald Trump parodies. The enter cast of egotistical White House wanna-bees are low hanging fruit for script writers who create jokes for a living. Unfortunately, the White House reenactors, who play real life roles on the Washington DC stage, are dangerous power brokers. They're just as likely to sell their souls for fame as to seriously consider their ominous responsibilities to support the values of our American democracy.

There's probably no such thing as coincidence in the White House cast of character look a-likes. Indeed, each of them seems to fit the part of the person who they most look like. They all share their egos, a trait common in their one degree of separation from fiction.

Donald Trump teleprompter "words all in a row"

Image result
Kate McKinnon nailed it- "words said all in a row", about Donald Trump's made for TV, Teleprompter recital as talented Kate McKinnon mocks Sessions as Forrest Gump On 'SNL'
Although media were given a cunning offer to lay off the Donald Trump "Teleprompter recital" read before a joint session of Congress on February 28th, the fact is, the POTUS45  narrative was over-rehearsed and a  made for TV reality gig.

Trump practiced shifting his tone from the dark, searing approach of his previous big speeches to the nation.

Various news feeds report that Reince Priebus made a deal about the White House not using the label "fake news", in a quasi "word exchange" for media laying off the Trump amateur hour recital.

In fact, the only accurate report provided by the media in a review of the "read before Congress", was from Kate McKinnon on the reliable news source performance given, on March 5th, "Saturday Night Live".  In a skit where McKinnon brilliantly mocks being Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a "Forrest Gump" skit, she tells her bus stop companion about the Trump recital.

Kate McKinnon, a skit about the Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his Russian communications, "at the bus stop", in a spoof of "Forrest Gump" - another brilliant parody!
"Run Jeff, run...."

In fact, Trump was supposed to set a new tone for the White House, because, "Folks was thrilled on account of it was real words in a row for a whole hour," quipped McKinnon, speaking farcically, as a realistic "Sessions". Well, the new tone is providing a hilarious set up for rollicking, comedy especially when talent like Kate McKinnon can portray characters in the White House parody.

Kate McKinnon, as one Twitterzin posted during her SNL performance, "Is a national treasure!".

Let's be charitable and forgiving of Congressman Trey Dowdy

Well, I received criticism about unflattering descriptions I made about South Carolina Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, in a blog about the daunting Behghazi Inquisition Committee (BIC) hearings.

Mrs. Clinton certainly rose above the inquisition

On Thursday, October 22, 2015, Congressman Gowdy led a daunting 11 hour inquisition, whereby the BIC relentlessly quesitoned Secretary (and Democratic presidential candidate) Hillary Clinton, about the tragic events of September 11, 2012, when Libyan Ambassador Chris Stephens was murdered, with three of his highly trained security team, in Benghazi.

When I researched Congressman Gowdy's wepage, I found the slogan "South Carolina Strong" as a lead banner.  Gulp! It took me awhile to rise above the plagerism in that image, as I've cut and pasted here. Congressman Gowdy gets and "F" for creativity on this webpage design. Surely, Gowdy can (and should) do better:

Oh paaaaleeeze Congressman Gowdy!  Surely you can do better than this plagerism.

Nevertheless, I'm motivated to follow Mrs. Clinton's professional lead. I'll attempt to rise above the inquisition Congressman Gowdy led, as he and Republican colleagues vainly tried to create another scandal about the Benghazi tragedy. In other words, I apologize to Congressman Gowdy, for comparing him to characters in a Saturday Night Live (SNL) skit along with other imagry.

Likewise, I would expect Congressman Gowdy to apologize to Mrs. Clinton for his committee's inquisition and relentless challenge to her qualified leadership, during the Benghazi hearing.

Bio:
Harold Watson "Trey" Gowdy III is the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 4th congressional district, a lawyer and former prosecutor. He is a member of the Tea Party (in other words, the right wing) movement within the Republican Party.
