American Dream redefined by Donald Trump the Chump
After watching excerpts from the Bloomberg focus group discussion about the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump the Chump, his supporters pointed out his success in business as being an admirable qualification for political leadership. In other words, the American Dream is personified by Trump's wealth.
(BLOOMBERG) - July 30 -- In a New Hampshire focus group conducted by Purple Strategies at St. Anselm College, in Manchester NH, Donald Trump supporters tell John Heilemann what they think a Trump presidency might be like and why they find “The Donald” so appealing. They admired Trump the Chump's abrasive communications style and wanted to emulate how he obtained his wealth. In other words, the American "Trumpism" Dream is now defined as being somebody who's rich enough to run for president.
Of course, we know how President Barack Obama is the ultimate example of an American Dream triumph. Nevertheless, Obama's incredible story of growing up in a biracial family without a father, but pulling himself up to be the President, doesn't relate to the average voter, who wants to be rich.
Well, "Hello?", here's the reality show message to those focus group type voters. Even in the outlying chance the "stupid party GOP" (thank you Governor Jindle-Jandle) elects Trump the Chump, just by having him as our nation's leader will not (will not) make you, or anybody else, rich. Wake up!
In fact, Trump the Chump doesn't even have any plan to do anything. Nor has he demonstrated how his leadership will help anybody to do anything! He's a stand up comedy act.
Rather than show leadership, he controls by intimidation
Trump's style is to gain support by entertaining. A hire wire circus act has more compassion and style than Trump the Chump's political campaign, because, at least, the circus performers have a safety net, to save themselves. On the other hand, Trump the Chump is inside his own high flying glider. Gravity will eventually find him. Sooner or later, his wind will fail him. and he'll tumble to the ground, like a kite without a tail. (He reminds me of Evita! "High Flying Adored". Evita Peron's end was tragic. Even her coffin was refused at the cemetery.)
Certainly, Trump's ability to raise money for the Grand "Grumpy" Old Party, i.e., the GOP establishment, will be one kite tail he'll need to repair. Unless Trump's billions in personal funds can keep the GOP floating, like paying party Chairman Reince Priebus his salary, his candidacy will be tanked at the national convention.
Remember, it's not enough for Trump the Chump to lead in political popularity polls. There're elections to win. He must show how he can win and this includes raising money for his party's establishment, not just for his campaign.
Another way for Trump the Chump to take a political nose dive is to find out how his colleagues want nothing to do with him. Many have already declared Trump to be political enemy number one. In fact, he even seems to've risen above the Obamacare thermometer of issues they despise. Who's going to be the Trump the Chump surrogates at the myriad of places he'll have to be if he's "God Forbid" nominated? Will his former wife, Ivana Trump, speak for him at the GOP convention?
Sooner or late, Ivana will have to be interviewed and asked, again, about her "rape" quote. Ivana Trump once accused the real-estate tycoon of "rape", although she later clarified: not in the ‘criminal sense.’ (Donald Trump introduced his presidential campaign to the world with a slur against Mexican immigrants, accusing them of being “rapists” and bringing crime into the country.
It was an unfortunate turn of phrase for Trump—in more ways than one. Not only does the current front runner for the Republican presidential nomination have a history of controversial remarks about sexual assault, but as it turns out, his ex-wife Ivana Trump once used “rape” to describe an incident between them in 1989. She later said she felt “violated” by the experience.
If past experience is any indicator, all candidates who use the "rape" word, regardless of the context, eventually wind up loosing elections. It's an ugly, anti women and violent word.
So, my crystal ball political prognostication is this. Trump the Chump will be a political high wire act who will ultimately loose his balance. Nevertheless, while he's soaring in the Republican polls, he's taking the heat off of the other clown car GOP candidates. More important, the stand up Trumpism act is contrasting Hillary Clinton, who appears brilliant, beautiful, compassionate, and, frankly, totally calm and sane.
Trump will eventually loose his cool, due to fatigue, causing his political luster to tarnish. Rather than an American Dream, his campaign is already becoming a nightmare.

Reince Priebus must find a way for Trump the Chump to raise money for the GOP and ultimately pay his salary as Chairman.
