More about Donald Trump and trains- surrogates headed on wrong way tracks

LATimes on Trump: Nothing prepared us for this 'trainwreck'
Train wreck imagery continues to be applied to the failed Donald Trump administration. Indeed, it appears his TRUMP brand is becoming associated with DUMP.

The Los Angeles Times picked up on the "train wreck" analogy.
Certainly, it's time Republicans move quickly to Dump the train wrecked Trump administration.

This analogy is especially evident as Trump desperately circles the oval office with family surrogates, to protect him, rather than trust the vetted diplomats who tax payers fund to represent America's interests. In fact, it was announced that the unqualified Jared Kushner, who is Donald Trump's son in law, was dispatched to Iraq to meet with military leaders, but nothing was said about sending the Secretary of Defense James Mattis (who is qualified) or the fatigued Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson.

LA Times Editorial Board Launches Scathing Series On ‘Disastrous’ Trump- “He is a man so unpredictable, so reckless, so petulant, so full of blind self-regard … it is impossible to know where his presidency will lead or how much damage he will do to our nation.”

The Los Angeles Times slammed President Trump in a new editorial, arguing that his "unpredictable" and "reckless" behavior is “the most worrisome” part of his presidency and that “nothing prepared us for the magnitude of this trainwreck.”

Its editors on Sunday criticized Trump for his attempts to repeal and replace ObamaCare, for vowing to erect a border wall and for questioning the courts.

“In a matter of weeks, President Trump has taken dozens of real-life steps that, if they are not reversed, will rip families apart, foul rivers and pollute the air, intensify the calamitous effects of climate change and profoundly weaken the system of American public education for all,” they wrote.

“These are immensely dangerous developments which threaten to weaken this country’s moral standing in the world, imperil the planet and reverse years of slow but steady gains by marginalized or impoverished Americans,” they added.

The newspaper promised to focus on three of the president’s traits: his “shocking lack of respect” for institutions, his "utter lack of regard" for the truth and his "scary willingness" to propagate alt-right conspiracy theories.

Its editors called on voters and lawmakers alike to hold the president accountable.

“Voters must turn out for elections. Members of Congress — including and especially Republicans — must find the political courage to stand up to Trump,” they wrote. “Courts must safeguard the Constitution. State legislators must pass laws to protect their citizens and their policies from federal meddling.”

The Sunday editorial is the first in a series, the newspaper said.

Maine Writer- I'll certainly be following the LATimes editorials.
ThankYou!
