Syrians were abandoned by President Assad - now Putin is withdrawing troops

American news media isn't giving focus to this important story:

It's difficult to understand how the catastrophic Syrian refugee crises can continue without holding President Assad responsible for genocide.  Perhaps Putin too?

Now, even Russia is pulling out on Assad.
Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs a meeting with members of the Security Council at the National defence control centre in Moscow, Russia, March 11, 2016.
Russian President Putin couldn't have just decided to withdraw Russian troops from Syria on Tuesday (!), because he just figured out they're causing more trouble than they are solving? Hmmmmm....curiouser and curiouser.

Although I have no interenational experience regarding the human Syrian refugee carnage, my suspecian is that Putin is pulling out Russian troops because there is no benefit to him or his leadership. In my opinion, Putin has no interest in protecting the desperate masses impacted by the horrible refugee crises, but he's focused on himself.

In other words, he doesn't want to find himself as a defendent in a war crimes trial.

REPORT: PUTIN ORDERS TROOPS OUT OF SYRIA

According to Russian state media, President Vladimir Putin ordered a withdrawal of the “main part” of the country’s military forces in Syria, claiming they had accomplished their mission.

According to BBC News, Putin informed officials at the Kremlin that the removal would begin Tuesday (wow! short notice?).

Russia initially entered the Syrian civil war as assistance to its ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, against rebel forces and fighters for the self-declared Islamic State.

Soooooo, in my uninformed opinion, (just askin')....does this sudden (Tuesday?) decision have anything to do with Russia's financial situation?  Like, maybe, the military isn't getting paid, for example?  Naaaaaaaa....whadda' I know?  Nyet!
