My husband of 40 years is retired Navy, and I was a Navy Wife for thirteen years. We love living in Maine in the summertime, but we're always preparing for another winter. My blog response to proposed cuts to MaineCare, a budget cutting policy that will shift health care costs to the private sector and public safety. The proposal will impact on 65,000 Maine people. If passed, the poor, frail, disabled and mentally ill will be without access to quality and affordable health care.
