Ted Cruz has 10 reasons to loose the Republican presidential nomination

Senator Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz of Texas appears to be "shocked-shocked!" when his political opponents call him a liar.

Of course, "liar" is harsh on anybody's ego, but the facts don't lie when Curz fumbles with his rhetorical political positions.

Indeed, chronic hypocrisy and lying are parellel behaviors. There's no doubt about the "birther" Senator's unlimited capacity for hypocritical rhetoric. For example, it's downright hypocritical for Senator Cruz to have wasted time leading a national debate about Barack Obama's birth right, claiming he wasn't qualified to be the President of the United States, because he was supposedly  and erroneously born in Kenya. Incredulously, Rafael "Ted" Cruz, himself, was born in Canada! Now, Cruz is running for the same office he accused President Obama of being unqualified to hold, yet, proof exists of Cruz's Canadian birth. There was never any proof of President Obama having been born in Kenya, as the "birthers" wrongly asserted. In fact, there was plenty of proof about President Obama being born in Hawaii.

In other words, the birthers lied about the location of President Obama's birth place. Therefore, Cruz lied.

Honestly, Cruz only tells the  truth when he's defending the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms or any kind of bullet shooting weapons. Nevertheless, the lies show up when Cruz tries to discredit the intention of other political positions made by humanitarian people who are trying prevent gun violence, by regulating the sale of assault weapons. Abolutely no one is going to erase the Second Amendment out of the Constitution! It's a lie to assume the intent of people who want to save lives by regulating the sale of assault weapons are really trying to eliminate the Second Amendment in the Constitution. Therefore, Cruz lied.

Cruz is opposed to immigration reform, humanely providing a path to citizenship for immigrants who meet certain requirements. Unbelievably, Senator Cruz is himself an immigrant, because he was born in Canada! Although Cruz's mother was an American citizen, she went to Canada to be with her husband at the time Cruz was born. Therefore, it's highly questionable about whether or not Cruz is a natural born citizen of the United States.

Natural born, in my mind, means born as a US Citizens in an American state or terrirtory or when both parents are citizens but living outside the country, due to special work or circumstances. I'm certainly no authority on this issue, but it's virtually impossible for Cruz to unequivically claim he's a "natural born citizen". Moreover, Cruz refuses to clarify this important Constitutional issue. Therefore, Cruz lied.

Here are other reasons why Senator "Cruz to loose" should never be given an opportunity to become our nation's leader:

• Even political colleague Sarah Palin didn't endorse Cruz. Rather, she overtly endorsed Donald Trump "the chump".
• Senator Cruz puts his two young daughters into political advertisements. This is unethical practice, in my opinion, and exploitaton of his innocent children for a purely political purpose. In fact, Cruz's two precious daughters are seen in paid political ads more often than his pretty wife. It's not right.
• Senator Cruz often called his colleagues in the US Senate "a cartel", like they were dealing in clandestine goods, like illegal drugs. This accusation, and the ugly label were unpatriotic and a downright lie. If Senator Cruz believed a "cartel" was running the Congress, he should've reported the activity to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), rather than lie about the "august body" of law makers, of which he is a member.
• Cruz said he'll block any nominee President Obama puts forth to suceed Justice Antonin Scalia, who died (1936-2016). This is contrary to the US Constitution, where the direction is clearly that it's the responsibility of Cruz to join the Senate to "advise and consent" with the President, about the nomination for Supreme Court justice. To overtly block or filibuser any attempt to vote on President Obama's nominee to succeed Justice Scalia is seditious behavior, in my opinion, and therefore, disqualfies Cruz from running for President. In fact, sedition is a federal crime.
• Being pro-life, as Cruz claims to be, he's, also, hypocritically:
• pro-death penalty
• against any Second Amendment changes, whereby lives could be saved from preventable gun violence by assault weapons
• against immigration reform, regardless of how distressed innocent families are about re-uniting with loved ones, who are unfairly deported
• against the Affordable Care Act - ACA, (aka "Obamacare") whereby millions of people pay for and receive health insurance coverage

It's likely I've exceeded the 10 reasons Senator Cruz should never be considered as a candidate for U.S. President. Frankly, any of these reasons should be enough to disqualify the Cruz candidacy. Let's face it, by being born "close by" in Canada, doesn't make the Constitutional qualification cut. In fact, "Cruz to loose" is wasting our time by trying to compete with those who are fundamentally better qualified to be President than he is, because, even the worst of them, at the very least, are not "liars". Born near the USA should be enough of a reason to disqualify "Cruz to loose".

Republicans - Anti-Science and Anti-Geography: Who is Responsible for this Dismal Report Card?

Republicans who deny the dangers of global warming are hard enough to understand, especially given data about earth's rising temperatures.  But, their failing science grade goes beyond geological learning.  

Many right wing Republicans are unable to understand a woman's reproductive system. Some deny that rape can cause pregnancy, which is as stupid as believing having sex while standing will bring the conception of a baby boy.  

Adding to this growing list of failing grades on science and physiology is the ineptness of some Republicans who deny that Canada is a foreign country.

If only denial of science, physiology and geography were funny, it would certainly make an entertaining comedy skit - but it's not humerous at all, because it's all frighteningly true.

In fact, one zealous supporter of Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who happens to be among those who would like for this concrete thinking man to be our US President, says the fact that he was born in Canada doesn't mean he was "born on foreign soil".  Being born on American soil is an important consideration for people who want to be US President.

Ted Cruz Supporter Offers Truly Bizarre Take On His Canadian Birth…

Texas senator Ted Cruz was born in Canada, and the question of whether or not that would disqualify him for president is up in the air, legally speaking. But, Cruz doesn’t consider it a problem at all, and neither do his supporters. One Cruz supporter even defended the senator by saying that Canada’s not even really “foreign soil.”

Cruz is officially renouncing his Canadian citizenship, and this week he released his birth certificate, just to clear the air. Whatever 2016 ambitions he does or doesn’t have are clearly not going to be stopped by this little bump in the road. Cruz even joked on Thursday about the controversy, telling the audience sarcastically, “I am secretly a citizen of Ethiopia.” (Oh My God! Dear Senator Cruz, this condescending statement about your birth isn't worthy of any American citizen, never mind, a US Senator.)

Cruz has a groundswell of conservative support, if he tries to run. But here’s how one woman defended Cruz’s presidential eligibility:

“Well, as far as I’m concerned, Canada’s not really foreign soil." You know, that’s the way I look at it.”

This quote would be impossible to believe, if it weren't on video.

So, along with being anti-science, ignorant of physiology and geography, the right wing supporters of extremist candidates are also ignoring Article II Section I of the US Constitution.  

"No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States."

"Natural born citizen" isn't defined in the Constitution, but this requirement was intended to protect our nation from foreign influence.  Cruz was born in Canada. Although his mother was American, he is not a "natural born citizen", unless he challenges the definition of this requirement in the US Constitution.   

Changing or clarifying the Constitution to accommodate one Senator's birth is a daunting task, especially for people who don't believe Canada is a foreign country.

This stupid concept about Canada "not a foreign country" is less weird than one would think.  I know a lady who didn't believe she needed a passport to enter Newfoundland.  This lady was at the airport, preparing for her flight to St. John's, Newfoundland, when the airport check-in requested her passport.  She left it home. Fortunately, she had access to a person who could enter her home and obtain the passport for her.  She received her passport in time to board her flight.  But, this incident begs the question: if she had a passport, why wasn't it with her when she went to the airport? "Because I just didn't know I needed it," she said.  In other words, she didn't know Canada is a foreign country.

Another person told me her first visit to Montreal, a few years ago, was the only time she'd been to Canada.  Yet, I was with this very lady when we both traveled to Nova Scotia.  I said, "You were in Canada when we went to Nova Scotia!"  She didn't believe me. Even after I showed her a map, she insisted her first trip to Canada was when she went to Montreal.

Yes, Republicans! This is third grade geography:  Montreal, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are all in Canada.  Canada has been foreign soil ever since the the English won the Battle of Quebec in 1759; Canada has been foreign soil ever since.

“Well, as far as I’m concerned, Canada’s not really foreign soil." You know, that’s the way I look at it.” So says the Senator Ted Cruz supporter.

Being a "natural born citizen" wouldn't be such an incendiary concept if right wing extremists were smart enough to accept a Hawaii birth certificate, where President Obama was born, as sufficient to full fill his Article II Section I of the Constitution qualification.  Without a shred of evidence, "birthers" believe President Obama was born in Kenya, Africa.

Conspiracy extremists insist President Obama is lying about his Hawaiian birth certificate.  Somehow, President Obama's mother mystically transported  herself to Kenya, via some magical carpet, just in time for her son to be born on foreign soil. This kind of travel in 1961, when President Obama was born in Hawaii, would have been difficult for a woman 9 months pregnant. I sincerely doubt any commercial airline would have allowed his mother to fly at her advanced stage of pregnancy.  It's a rhetorical issue, because President Obama was born in Hawaii, although birthers refuse to believe it.

Right wing extremists create many conspiracy theories, asserting President Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and consequently, under Article Two of the U.S. Constitution, is ineligible to be President of the United States.  

But, many reputable officials have verified President Obama's  birth records, validated by the Hawaiian hospital where his mother Ann Dunham gave birth and by the state of Hawaii.  

Therefore, if Senator Cruz really wants to become president, it's plain ignorant and hypocritical for conspiracy birthers, who deny President Obama's birth place, to say, “Well, as far as I’m concerned, Canada’s not really foreign soil." You know, that’s the way I look at it.” 

Nevertheless, under the strict interpretation of the Article II clause, Senator Cruz is disqualified from becoming US President. Using the same logic as conspiracy birthers, who try to discredit President Obama, Senator Cruz is not a natural born US citizen.

Americans can't have anti science politicians, who are ignorant of reproductive physiology and geography, as leaders of our nation.  

This seeming growing Republican trend toward denial of science, physiology and geography must be an indictment of our nation's deteriorating educational system.  A person should not pass elementary school if they can't name the 50 US states and know how the 10 Canadian provinces are not among them.  

American simply can't put people in charge of our nation who believe, “Well, as far as I’m concerned, Canada’s not really foreign soil." You know, that’s the way I look at it.” So says the Senator Ted Cruz supporter.

Moreover, Senator Cruz should teach his supporters to behave responsibly, rather than allow them make him look like a fool.

By the time Senator Cruz tries to run for president, he will likely have enough crazy supports who, by then, will have abandoned their birther obsession. Instead, these delusional people will likely transfer their energy to deny the validity of Article II Section I of the Constitution.  

Let's never let this happen.  We must vote all extremists, including Senator Cruz, out of office before their delusional obsessions become incurably epidemic.

Meanwhile, many right wing Republicans obviously need to go back to school.

Birthers and Racism - Appealing to Right White Voters

Governor Mitt Romney is not a stand up comic.  Still, the former Massachusetts governor used a "birther joke" when addressing a political rally in Michigan, the state where he and his wife were born. Justifiably, President Obama's re-election team is outraged by Romney's failed joke.  

By bringing up the degrading birther topic, Romney raised, once again, the subject of President Obama's legitimate birth in Hawaii.  Paranoid thinkers, who are overwhelmingly right wing Caucasian zealots, love to harp on this issue, because it feeds their racist bias against our President.  

In other words, "birtherism" reminds voters that President Obama's father was African. 

"Birtherism" is racism, without using overt racist language. 

But, Romney lowered himself to joking about the wasteful subject of "birtherism". But, the comment wasn't funny. Instead, it was intentional to appeal to right wing Caucasians in the audiences who thrive on racist bias against President Obama.

Yet, "birthers" claim President Obama's birth documentation is somehow fraudulent.  No amount of convincing changes their concrete minds. They don't have one shred of evidence to contradict the testimony of Hawaiian officials, many of them Republicans, who swear to the legitimacy of President Obama's birth record.  Hundreds of journalists and politicians have examined this issue, wasting their time trying to disprove the obvious legality of the President's birth document. Paranoid zealots think all of these expert and objective opinions are wrong.

We know Romney and his wife were born in Michigan.  Therefore, there was absolutely no need for Romney to remind the audience about where his birth certificate is found.  His comment inappropriately raised the "birther" issue while speaking to a Michigan audience. His comment was deliberate, just to appeal to right wing zealots who continue to harbor paranoid ideation about President Obama's legitimacy, based upon his place of birth.  

Let's recall how Governor Romney continues to deal with his own legitimacy as Massachusetts governor, when he claimed to be a state resident, but his residency was never clearly proven. Let's also remember how Romney's father, also a Presidential candidate, was born in Mexico.

Romney calls on President Obama's campaign to raise the level of discourse while he lowers himself to fuel "birther" paranoia.  

Meanwhile, Governor Romney has not explained to Americans why he wants to be President or what he will do if he wins the election.

Birtherism is an act of desperation by Romney to lock up right wing voters who cannot abide an African-American President.  

For Governor Romney to be an inspiring leader, he must raise Americans up rather than play to the lowest common denominator of concrete thinking.  He should apologize for his ugly birther joke.

Of course, Governor Romney could easily change the conversation by revealing his income tax information. At the same time, he could also explain how it was he signed Securities and Exchange Commission documents as the Chief Executive Officer of the investment firm Bain Capital, after he left the firm.

Romney's continual avoidance of his public accountability and fiscal transparency is troubling. We already know Romney was born in Michigan, but we don't know why his extraordinary wealth is invested outside of America, other than, for obvious tax sheltering purposes. 

Birtherism turns off reasonable voters, because the subject is camouflaged racism.  Romney thought he could sneak the birther subject into a largely white Michigan political rally, cloaked as a bad joke.  Instead, it showed Romney to be a pandering politician, desperately trying to woo right wing voters. It's another example of Romney's poor judgement and uninspired leadership.

President Obama's campaign is correct to hold Romney accountable for inappropriate rhetoric. 

Let's vote for inspired leadership and re-elect President Obama.
