Will our elections be fair❓

Will Trump honor the election results❓Only if his side wins, and that’s not likely. To what lengths will he go to prevent MAGA losses? He wants to do away with mail-in ballots, even though that’s how he votes, and there’s no fraud associated with mail-in voting. Maybe he’ll confiscate voting machines. Perhaps he’ll deploy (evil) ICE agents or National Guard troops to voting locations to intimidate prospective voters, particularly Hispanic voters. To be clear, non-citizen (illegal) voting is very nearly non-existent. We’re talking about a handful of fraudulent voters. It is a non-factor. Trump will make stuff up as usual, but his lies will be just that — lies. The narcissist cannot accept defeat. Unfortunately, on 9/25 he succeeded in his efforts to increase federal involvement in state elections when the partisan Supreme Court reinstated a citizenship database which may disenfranchise eligible voters and violate privacy safeguards. He’s been given an opening to meddle in state elections. 

We all witnessed the treasonous insurrection of January 6, 2021. Election deniers and like-minded co-conspirators would gladly dictate who gets to vote. They would willingly manipulate outcomes to help Trump. We don’t know exactly how far he’ll go to get more of his people elected. But, if we can believe that he hates losing and is a corrupt, self-serving bully, then we can easily accept that anything is possible. Let’s hope we have a free and fair election, and Trump keeps his grimy little fingers out of it.

Donald Trump gave a pardon to an insurrectionist who turned out to be convicted of child sexual abuse but his corrupt administration insists on prosecuting legislative leaders who spoke truth to power. 

 

An upside-down United States: In one of the numerous Trump, politically driven, Pam Bondi directed Department of Injustice baseless persecutions of Donald Trump’s ever-expanding list of political enemies, a federal grand jury recently declined to indict six military and intelligence community veterans, real patriots who serve in Congress, for simply stating the law of the land, and on that same day here in the "free" state of Florida, Andrew Paul Johnson, a January 6th insurrectionist, a MAGA “patriot” pardoned by Trump, was convicted on five charges, including molesting a child under 12 and another under 16, as well as lewd and lascivious exhibition.  Insurrectionist Johnson is one of a number of January 6 “patriots” pardoned by our felonious president Donald Trump who has gone on to commit crimes that make being an illegal immigrant akin to being a Sunday school teacher. 

But, not a peep from our Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, his attorney general, Republicans- Representative Byron Donalds or Senator Rick Scott, all of whom are like heat-seeking missiles for any nearby microphone when an illegal immigrant so much as jaywalks. 

Folks, please flock to the polls in November to deliver this country from this Trump Upside-Down Alice in Wonderland nightmare 😱 administration❗

President Biden: International leadership reunited NATO to support the Ukraine

Tens of thousands of Ukrainians are bravely risking their lives to save their country from Russia's invasion, directed by Vladimir Putin. However, Ukraine's military resources are limited. Why? President Zelensky, in 2019, fearing the possibility of such a Putin-led invasion, begged President Donald Trump for $400 million in military aid. However, Trump used a blackmail tactic, stating that release of this support was dependent upon Zelensky's government digging up dirt on Trump's presidential opponent, Joe Biden.

Zelenskyy grew up as a native Russian speaker in Kryvyi Rih, a major city of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in central Ukraine.

Now President Biden, with true leadership, has reunited NATO, the EU, and other countries (even Japan in Asia) and shepherded a United Nations vote of condemnation against Putin's actions. These behind-the-scenes actions, not widely heralded, have been necessary to rebuild our nation's relationships after the massively destructive actions of Donald Trump. These actions aren't as newsworthy or attention-getting as the spewing of lies and hatred, but they may save the lives of many fellow global citizens. Fortunately, some military support is now moving through limited channels to assist the Ukrainian defense.

Urgently, the survival of democracy in Ukraine is front and center on the world stage. There is hope. (❓). 

Russian oligarchs are already feeling pain, and there may be an upwelling of dissent in the Russian populace. Could this lead to regime change in Russia? Finding Putin guilty of war crimes in The Hague? A reversal or slowing down of the global rise in authoritarianism?

Could this lead to an America where truth, reason and an understanding about the importance of global, cooperative relationships "trump" (inept!) authoritarian behavior which threatens all global citizens? Might we Americans feel united again in defending the true value of freedom like we did when we displayed our beloved flag together after the tragedy of Sept. 11?
