Storm troopers sent to act as a federal police force have intentionally created chaos to incite Donald Trump's political purposes

Oregon lawmakers called for immediate removal of federal officers from Portland. State representatives sent a letter to United States Attorney General William Barr and Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf. Members of the Oregon House of Representatives and Oregon Senate jointly demanded that federal troops be removed from Portland, unless authorized by the city's elected officials. 

Obviously, Donald Trump, as usual, did not conside the consequences he would be faced with when he directed the fake Attorney General William Barr to put federal troops in Portland Oregon.  This crazy strategy has backfired. Instead, Trump is obsessed with his re-election but he has failed to capture the empathetic ability to put people before political agenda. 

This opinion letter was published in the Des Moines Register, an Iowa newspaper.

 
Americans must be alarmed about what is happening in Portland, Oregon. Our alarm should not be over the continuation of Black Lives Matter protests, but over the use of federal police forces being used to quell agitators and anarchists. 

It sounds like de facto martial law, and there has been no call for such action by the local or state government. In fact, at the time these forces were deployed, the protests were reportedly starting to abate.

Now these federal police have become the agitators and are stoking more protests. This will happen when citizen protests are met by force. So, what is the purpose behind it? This does not appear to be about public safety in Portland, but about the coming November 2020, elections.

Donald Trump has now stated it is his intent to deploy still more federal forces in cities run by Democrats. Again, they are uninvited. He wants to paint himself and his party as strong, and the opposition as weak, himself as the upholder of the law, and the opposition as its detractors. My concern, will this stop at a political stunt, or will these deployments set the stage for actual martial law and the suspension of the rights and freedoms of select communities? What rights? To freely and fairly elect our leaders?

I do not fear these citizen protests that are occurring, as they speak to justice, but I do fear the dangerous Donald Trump and the lengths he will go to to illegally stay in power.
