Donald Trump has failed America
Trump supporters must recognize their mistake~ an echo opinion letter published in The Baltimore Sun newspaper.

BALTIMORE, MD ~ For over two centuries, the office the president of the United States had grown to become the world’s most trusted source of democratic leadership.
Donald Trump disgraced America in Helsinki |
Obviously, for decades, the world has listened carefully to every word spoken, and every US president's spoken word was accepted as the truth.
But then Donald Trump filled that office. He has disgraced it by uttering lies, deceptions, exaggerations. No longer do the words spoken by such a powerful officeholder have any credibility. What a shame, what a disgrace, what a national embarrassment this president has become. Even his most ardent supporters say, “Don’t listen to what he says, see to what he does.” (And what he has done has caused havoc both here and abroad.)
His supporters need to stand tall, stiffen their backbones, admit that they collectively made a terrible mistake and offer the citizens of the United States an honest, intelligent, respected nominee to run as a replacement at the next presidential election (“Trump asserts Russia not still targeting U.S., contradicting his top intelligence chief,” July 18). If they do not start doing it now, perhaps we citizens can encourage them to do so by how we vote this coming November.
