Critics echo ~ Tax cuts for the rich
An echo letter to the editor, written by Danny Bolden, Mer Rouge LA
Although the 2018 omnibus spending bill was regrettably signed into effect, the Louisiana Senators John Kennedy, and Bill Cassidy and Congressman Ralph Abraham should be commended for their vote against it.
Instead of reducing spending, like most people would expect, with Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and a Republican president, the 1.3 trillion dollar spending spree increased by many billions of dollars the wasting of our money.
It appears that we don’t have many Republicans in Washington anymore, but a lot of Republicrats, who love to receive and give away other people’s money. With this new bankroll, Planned Parenthood still gets their half a billion dollars per year, the National Endowment for the Arts gets a 3 million dollar raise, Obamacare remains, and much more nonsense is financed. A southern wall to keep out invaders gets no funding.
Thankfully, the men from Louisiana recognized the 2018 omnibus bill for the crime that it is. (MaineWriter, IOW, "tax cuts for the rich).— Danny Bolden, Mer Rouge
