Letter to the editor

WEST VIRGINIA, Jan 10, 2018 ~ We have a bunch of Republicans in the U.S. Congress, blaming every one but God for some kind of wrong doing, trying to get support for freeing Russia from an investigation where they have been accused of meddling in our 2016 election.

Every one knows free and fair elections is the key to our democracy, and we know thousands on top of thousands of young soldiers gave their lives fighting wars to protect our democracy.

Many of those young soldiers were from West Virginia. 

For the Republicans to turn their back on our democracy and to try to protect Russia, a foreign country that has been accused of harming what so many young soldiers gave their lives to protect, our democracy.

In my opinion those Republicans should be charged with treason. Those who read this will have to decide which side they support, the soldiers (Maine Writer- support those who fought for our democracy) or the bunch of Republicans holding Russia’s hand.
