Donald Trump and maga Republicans must stop lies and hate speech. Free speech means telling the truth!

Why MAGA’s Bullying Will Fail- Don't vote for Republicans

The New York Times opinion columnist David French breaks down how Trump and his supporters are using familiar pressure — and what backlash it will spark — at the round table in this week’s episode of “The Opinions.” "Why MAGA’s Bullying Will Fail"

MAGA will learn something that the far left learned in the late 20-teens, moving in the early 2020s: that is, a lot of your success in online aggression, and shaming, and mobbing, and attacking, and intolerance is very temporary and illusory, because the majority of people don’t like those kinds of tactics and they’re going to, over time, punish a side that they see as bullying people, as being extremely cruel and intolerant.

And a lot of MAGA looks at some of the cancel culture heyday of the late 20-teens and says: Oh, we can do that, and we’ll do it better, and we’ll do it more effectively, and we’ll do it from the Oval Office down. But the pro-free speech position over the long term in American history is a very majority position.

Any given individual moment, you might be cutting against the grain. But over time, the pro- free speech position is a majority American position. And I think MAGA is making a giant mistake in taking the old — the whole cancel culture discourse of 2019, 2020, and saying: Oh, we’ll just do this more, and more aggressively, and that’s going to work for us.

Donald Trump and maga Republicans are hearing anger from voters who understand how much damage is happening to our nation

Opinion letter published in The Beverly Review news, in Chicago, Illinois: #WakeUpMAGAcult ❗
MAGA slowly starting to realize  the truth. #trump #politics # #memes #trumppolicies

It’s amazing that some supporters of Donald Trump can go blissfully along and are happy with him without paying attention to what’s really happening—must be those blinding rose-colored glasses.

Some people believe that, if you’re a legal resident of the United States, you have nothing to worry about. Do they realize that Trump has removed legal status from millions of legal (not criminal) residents for no other reason than he doesn’t like them? Do some MAGA people realize that many of the immigrants being deported were working, paying taxes and paying into Social Security

Do the MAGA people realize how Trump has also threatened to deport people born in the U.S. because they have insulted his fragile ego

Do the cult MAGA people know that it’s only a misdemeanor for entering the U.S. illegally the first time? Do they feel it’s OK to send people to a labor camp in the swamps for a misdemeanor

I agree with the writer that said how the Nazis are looking up from hell with deep appreciation, but it’s appreciation for the lessons Trump and his toadies have learned from them

Maybe some of the cult MAGA people should sit down and read a little history of how Hitler took over Germany and conned the people, as Trump is doing, which led to millions of deaths.

We will never know the number of innocent people Trump is complicit in their deaths with his cuts to foreign aid, USAID’s numerous contracts, global health organizations and many others—not to mention all the thousands who will lose their Medicaid and health insurance.

As far as Trump and Musk pointing out (alternative) facts, I would question all their findings. They pointed out thousands of people over 130 years old on Social Security, one over 360 years old, receiving Social Security as well as fraud in other agencies. Yet there hasn’t been one arrest. Were these facts or fiction to con their supporters

Just like one of the writers said, I would love to see everyone get along. Nevertheless, it’s Trump who refused to even try and work with the Democrats. It’s Trump who has put his toadies in charge of the Justice Department, FBI, Homeland Security and others in order to go after everyone he disagrees with and wants revenge against.

Moreover, it’s Trump who is using taxpayer money to fix up his $400 million airplane. It’s also Trump who is using taxpayer money to pay for a trip to Scotland to play golf and promote his new golf course.

It’s hard to get along with an administration that’s so cruel and is determined to enrich itself.

Texas is embarrassed by cruel Governor Abbott and inhumane treatment of desperate migrants

People- human beings- are being treated inhumanely!

The Washington Post reported Sunday that volunteers who greeted the migrants received word that (cruel!) Gov. Greg Abbott had sent about 110 to 130 men, women and children on three buses that arrived at the Naval Observatory on Saturday night. Videos shared on social media show many of them clutching blankets over their shoulders in the 18-degree weather after the two-day trip.

Migrants cross the Rio Grande into the US from Ciudad Juarez on December 18, 2022.

I don’t care how you feel about immigration, but how people — and I did say people — are being treated by sending busloads of people to be dropped off in below freezing temperatures is inhumane. Anyone doing this should be punished. From the driver to as high up as the governor.

“Multiple busloads of migrants were dropped off at Vice-President Harris’s residence in Washington, D.C., on Saturday — Christmas Eve — leaving migrants on the streets in below-freezing temperatures, according to multiple reports.”
2 U.S. Code § 2000dd Prohibition on cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment of persons under custody or control of the United States Government

(d) Cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment defined

In this section, the term “cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment” means the cruel, unusual, and inhumane treatment or punishment prohibited by the Fifth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, as defined in the United States Reservations, Declarations and Understandings to the United Nations Convention Against Torture and Other Forms of Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment done at New York, December 10, 1984.”
