Maine Writer - In my opinion, this letter published in the Bradenton  Herald, a Florida newspaper, is a classic example to demonstrate Donald Trump's stupidity!

Dear Mr. Trump:

I watched you asking a reporter to remove his mask. When he said he would prefer keeping it on, you actually made the comment that you guessed he was trying to be “politically correct.”

What in the world does that have to do with wearing a mask? 

While I am no longer surprised about your behavior in any scenario, I was shocked that you would try to ridicule someone who is doing their part in attempting to fight COVID-19. I am aware that we don’t really know if wearing a mask may prevent individuals from getting the virus, but it should be obvious to you that the mask at least provides some protection to catching or transmitting this disease.

Will it take more than 100,000 Americans dying to make you care more about the citizens you are supposed to represent, than it is about your “looking presidential.” 

Believe me, sir, at this point, I do not believe there is anything that can do that.

It is time to impeach and remove President Donald Trump from office - an echo letter to the editor published in the Bradenton Herald in Florida

It’s time! President Trump has openly admitted to soliciting help for his re-election campaign from foreign countries. He’s banking on his fellow Republicans’ silence, their complicity. It is time for them to speak up, to call him out for what he is: a criminal not fit to serve this country.
Impeachment is the only remedy provided in the Constitution. It’s time to use it. It’s time to move on from this horrendous spectacle. It’s time to take our country back. U.S Rep. Vern Buchanan must vote YES on impeachment, and Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott must vote to convict and remove this menace from the White House.

After the Mueller hearings, it is time for Congress to impeach Donald Trump | Letter to the editor

The Congressional hearings examining what Special Counsel Robert Mueller found revealed that:

• Donald Trump engaged in obstruction of justice many times, lying about it and trying to coerce others to also lie about it.
• Trump engaged in witness tampering many times, also lying about that.
• Trump lied to the FBI in his written answers to their questions.

In the news reports after the hearings, it appears that many people expected Mueller to do the job of Congress in judging the President regarding his crimes. They called on him to charge the president with a crime, even though he was specifically prevented from doing so, and had made this clear from the start. They expected him to take a partisan position against the president, even though Mueller is a Republican, like Trump, and his role was to investigate, not judge.

Congress and the American people cannot expect Mueller to do Congress’s job for them, to charge Trump with crimes, and serious, impeachable crimes at that. We learned that Trump can be charged with these crimes when he has ended his time in office, but that is not good enough.

Donald Trump must answer for these crimes now. No one is above the law. Congress must act to impeach Trump immediately.

Donald Trump lies about the cost of tariffs! Americans will pay for them.

Don’t buy Donald Trump’s lies about tariffs. We are paying them!

Donald Trump did it again! He keeps saying, (ugh!) over and over again, that China will be paying these tariffs and the American people will not have to pay. There are many out there who believe this and have no understanding about how the tariff system works.

To be clear, tariffs are a tax that is added to the price of goods imported into the United States, from foreign countries. 

If you raise the tariff on a pair of shoes from 10% to 25%, the cost to the American importer goes up by the extra 15% on the landed price of the product. This he has to pay to the federal government to clear the products through customs. So, the cost of that pair of shoes to the wholesaler is now higher and they have two options. One, is to raise the price to account for the additional cost of the product and let the chips fall where they may in the market. 

Two, they can suck up this increase and lose the profits that they now have to pay the federal government. 

This will not secure their company’s future.

So, when Donald Trump stands there and tells the fabrication that China is paying the tariffs, he is lying, again. He’s playing the American people for a bunch of chumps. 

P. T. Barnum once said, “There is a sucker born every minute”. And, it seems like he was talking about those Americans who buy the lies that are spread by Trump. Tariffs are bad for American business and bad for our relations overseas. 

Moreover, the middle class will be burdened with Trump’s tariffs, just like they all “blessed” (cursed!) by his “tax cuts” (for the rich!)

Donald Trump is a dangerous and failed person

Donald Trump is campaigning hard with big money and endless lies to win Florida in 2020. We can’t let that happen. 

We need to make sure he fails.

In 2016, many of us voted for him, hoping the signs of racism, dishonesty, abuse and fraud were not true. 

But he is far worse than we feared.

His hatred and abuse of non-whites is criminal, caging those seeking help, calling them ugly names. He turns his back on our Puerto Rican citizens, treating them like dirt and refusing the help we give others suffering disasters. He calls hate-chanting Nazis “very good people”. He supports suppressing the votes of poor blacks. He denies equal rights for women and wants to force them to give birth against their will.

His pathological lying is an established fact, with thousands of lies documented over and over, while he boldly denies to our faces what we see and hear. His desire for dictatorship is confirmed as he ignores the Constitution and issues unlawful orders. He is replacing our system of justice with his own henchmen to make America a police state. He engages in cover-ups of his wrong-doing as well as his partners’, even Russians, convicted felons and murderers.
Trump is a psychopath who got other Floridians to sell us down the river. Those who stand for the values the Founders cherished have been scammed and betrayed. Now, he attempts to win Florida again with big money, bribes and another campaign of lies.

Let’s make sure Floridians don’t get conned again with his lies and his army of Trump stooges. We need to make sure Floridians wake up, realize how much is at stake, and defeat this psychopathic dictator.
