Evidently the planet "earth' just isn't a big enough planet for Trump to save

Perhaps, in "renegotiation" (what a joke!) of the Paris Climate Acccord, Donald Trump might consider supporting the global agreement, if the name on the treaty was "Trump saves earth from suffocation". Instead, just saving the earth from the disastrous effects of human caused pollution doesn't interest him, unless his name is attached to the title. Unfortunately, when the earth is consumed by noxious pollution, the remains will have Donald Trump's name on the disasterous results; Todays terrible, June 1st, decision to withdraw from the agreement was a wrong minded action, with no justification, other than just so he can say he did it.

What's the point of having Ivanka Trump and Jarod Kushner as his personal executive advisers, if Donald Trump disregards their pleas to comply with the Paris Climate Accord (as they advocated in favor of remaining in the universal agreement)?

In fact, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner didn't even attend President Donald Trump’s announcement that the U.S. would exit the climate agreement. A White House official said the couple attended synagogue for the Jewish holiday of Shavout.
Moreover, Donald Trump should return his autographed copy of the enclycical "Laudato Si", written about protecting the earth's environment, signed by Pope Francis.

As usual, Andy Borowitz called it right in his satire- except the failed Trump climate isn't humorous, although he makes it appear to be so.

CALLING EARTH A “LOSER,” TRUMP VOWS TO MAKE A BETTER DEAL WITH NEW PLANET

WASHINGTON- DC (The Borowitz Report)—In a dramatic announcement from the White House Rose Garden on Thursday, Donald J. Trump pronounced the planet Earth a “loser” and vowed to make a better deal with a new planet.

“Earth is a terrible, very bad planet,” he told the White House press corps. “It’s maybe the worst planet in the solar system, and it’s far from the biggest.”
Trump blasted former President Barack Obama for signing deals that committed the United States to remain on the planet Earth indefinitely. “Obama is almost as big a loser as Earth,” Trump said. “If Obama was a planet, guess what planet he’d be? That’s right: Earth.”

When asked which planet he would make a new deal with, Trump offered few specifics, saying only, “The solar system has millions of terrific planets, and they’re all better than Earth, which is a sick, failing loser.”

Trump’s remarks drew a strong response from one of the United States’ NATO allies, Germany’s Angela Merkel. “I strongly support Donald Trump leaving the planet Earth,” she said.

Here's why Donald Trump foreign trip was a "foul to right field"

“The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out,” she Chancellor Merkel, according to German newspaper Welt. “I’ve experienced that in the last few days.”

Although Donald Trump has typically engaged in self aggrandizement about his failed foreign trip to Saudi Arabia, Isreal, Rome, Europe and Sicily, the facts don't support his declared theory abut the effort being a baseball "home run". In fact, the baseball analogy only works if the evaluation will award the effort as "long foul ball hit to right field".

Here's why Donald Trump's foreign trip failed- it was a foul ball.  

First of all, Donald Trump looked absolutely ridiculous walking in the center of a group of huddled flowing Saudi Arabian sheikhs. After years of mocking Muslims, the appearance of Donald Trump at the center of their flowing attention just didn't pass the straight face test. "Strike one!", for optics.  Black suit amidst sheikhs just didn't work for me. Trump's Saudi effort didn't look genuine on either side of the international equation. Obviously, Donald Trump wants Saudi money and he's willing to sell his soul to get it. 

I hope these ugly photographs don't find their way into New York City's, September 11 Museum.

By the way, that gaudy medallion given to Donald Trump by the Saudi's, created for some "trumped up" ceremonial reason, would not look good in a Presidential history museum. Rather, it looks like the award belongs on an ebay clearance sale.

Second, Donald Trump did not make friends with Pope Francis. 

Rather, he simply visited with the Holy Pontiff. (Pictures said a thousand words.) I don't believe I heard "gracie" or "gracias", in Trump's response to receiving a signed copy of "Laudato Si", about the care of our common environmental home; it was a valuable copy given to Trump, from the Pope's own hands,. This is a beautifully written encyclical, easily understood in any of the languages where translations are available: "...now cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her - earth - by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with which God has endowed her. We have come to see ourselves as her lords and masters, entitled to plunder her at will...".

Like nouveau "American Gothic" rather than a Papal audience.

Third- Melania Trump's amazing and now historic hand slap. Hmmm. Not much more to say about that message.  In other words, "this isn't going well, is it?"

In fact, from the Melania shove to the hobnobbing with sheikhs, no single Trump moment from the foreign trip stood out as inspiring or even plausible.  Melania obviously didn't want her husband to touch her; but the sheikhs were all over the man.

Nevertheless, the ultimate strike against the Donald Trump failed foreign trip was summarized by German Chancellor Angela Merkel  
Following the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Sicily, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Europeans can no longer rely on the United States.

The G7 summit included representatives from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the European Union. Leaders met to discuss the world economy, foreign policy, climate change and other global issues, and it ended with all countries reaffirming the Paris agreement on climate change—with the exception of the United States.

In its final communique from the summit, the leaders were forced to admit this fact, saying that “the United States of America is in the process of reviewing its policies on climate change and on the Paris Agreement and thus is not in a position to join the consensus on these topics.” (Remembering how Donald Trump did not say "grazie" to the gift given to him by Pope Francis.)

“The entire discussion about climate was very difficult,” Angela Merkel said yesterday, “if not to say very dissatisfying.”

Merkel further echoed those sentiments today before an election rally in Munich, Germany. “The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out,” she said, according to German newspaper Welt. 

“I’ve experienced that in the last few days,” said Merkel.

Or, to put another way, in the words of former President George W. Bush (POTUS 43), said after Trump's awful inauguration speech, "Tha't's some weird shit...."

Or, in baseball analogy- the trip was a foul ball on a 3-2 count.

Donald Trump failure grade "0"= first 100 days

Here's my report card on @realdonaldtrump, the handle used to post his Tweets (when he's not impersonating somebody else). Although Mark Cuban gives Donald Trump a "C" for his first 100 days, I'd complete the three-hundred-and-sixty degree angle to create the proper grade of "0".

Here's a report card to support the zero score, deserved for the Donald Trump first 100 days in office (when he's not in Mar-a-lago, FL):

1.  January 21, 2017: Failed communications compromised Seal Team 6 raid in Yemen- Senior Chief Petty Officer Ryan killed and an expensive intelligence helicopter lost, all while newly inaugurated Donald Trump was busy "Tweeting".

2.  Hiring Sean Spicer to be the White House press secretary, the creator of "Spicey facts", a pseudonym for propaganda.

3.  Allowing Lt. General Mike Flynn to sit in on White House security briefings when he was being paid to work for Turkey, without registering as an agent of a foreign government, and who also had clandestine ties to Russia. (This information puts cold shivers up my spine!)

4.  Not shaking the hand of world leader Chancellor Angela Merkel, of Germany, during her visit to the White House. 

5.  April attack on Syria air base, but runways didn't sustain damage; in fact, the airport's runways were operational the next day! Donald Trump claimed his 59-missile strike on Assad’s Syrian air base missed their targets, saying he ‘didn’t want to hit the runways’. In fact, the Sharyat Air Base was back up-and-running with military jets using it as usual. HELLO? 59 Tomahawks?

6. Bombing Afghanistan with a Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB pronounced /ˈmoʊ.æb/, commonly known as the Mother of All Bombs) without killing the ISIS leaders or anybody of importance, that we're aware of- like ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, for example.

7.  Misrepresenting the location of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and the armada, in the Pacific, as being directed to prevent a nuclear attack against the US by North Korea. In fact, the naval operations were, instead, headed to Australia!

8.  Appointing "Ken and Barbie" his daughter Ivanka and son in law Jared Kushner, to be his advisers when neither one of them has any diplomatic or political experience. Frankly, their role is to keep Donald Trump's erratic behavior under control. Obviously, Donald Trump isn't allowed to be alone and unsupervised, because it's proven he's a danger to himself and others.

9.  Accusing President Barack Obama of wiretapping the Donald Trump Towers in New York City, without any proof whatsoever (a proven Trump lie).

10.  Putting the world at risk for nuclear war for the purpose of diverting attention away from the Trump-Russia clandestine connections and the infamously salacious "dossier".

Report card for Donald Trump and his failed administration during the first 100 days is ZERO.  In fact, the Trump failures are lower than an F grade and his leadership demonstrates incompetence.  

Putin is probably pulling back rebels in Ukraine defending against an internal revolution

Obviously, I live far from Russia and am a neophyte about international intrigue. Yet, I can't believe Russian President Putin is pulling back his Ukrainian rebels, without an alterior motive.

In my opinion, President Putin has become more concerned about his personal defense, right now, than he is worried about some property in the Ukraine.  

It's remotely possible the Russian (Rebel) withdrawal has little to do with a cease fire, but more about defending Moscow against a possible revolution. Moreover, Putin must eventually come to the realization that he can't afford to fund an expensive invasion of the Ukraine, especially when his own power is challenged by supporters of the recently assassinated opponent, Boris Nemtsov
Unfortunately, at least 6,000 people are believed to have been killed during Putin's power struggle chess game with the Ukrainians and Western nations.

Ukraine crisis: Poroshenko confirms rebel weapons moved

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says pro-Russian rebels in the east have withdrawn a "significant" amount of heavy weapons.

Speaking on TV, Mr Poroshenko said his government forces had also pulled back "the lion's share" of their rocket and heavy artillery systems.

Under a ceasefire reached in February, both sides were due to pull back heavy weapons by the beginning of March.

The ceasefire appears to be taking hold despite continuing clashes.

The opposing sides have accused each other of breaking the truce or using it as a cover to regroup.

At least 6,000 people are believed to have been killed and more than one million have fled their homes since conflict erupted last April in the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.'Lion's share'

Just three days ago, Mr Poroshenko accused the rebels of reluctance to withdraw heavy weapons under international supervision, in accordance with the terms of the ceasefire agreed in the Belarussian capital Minsk.

But on Monday he said: "Ukraine has withdrawn the lion's share of its rocket and heavy artillery systems. The Russian-backed fighters have also withdrawn a significant amount."

As for the truce itself, he said, "There is a ceasefire or there isn't - it depends on how you look at it."

Since 15 March, when the ceasefire officially began, 64 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed, he added. In all, the Ukrainian leader said, 1,549 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the rebellion began.

Observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe are monitoring the ceasefire agreed in Minsk, Belarus, on 12 February.

The two sides are due to create a buffer zone between them of at least 50km (30 miles) for artillery of 100mm calibre or more, 70km for multiple rocket systems and 140km for the heaviest rockets and missiles.

US President Barack Obama agreed last month not to send lethal defensive aide to Ukraine, a top German diplomat told the AP news agency on Monday.

The German Ambassador to the US, Peter Wittig, said Mr Obama had agreed to hold off during a White House meeting in February with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Mr Obama, he said, had concurred with Mrs Merkel that it was important to "give some space for those diplomatic, political efforts that were under way".

In another development, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted for the first time that the plan to annex Ukraine's Crimea region last March was ordered weeks before the referendum on self-determination.

Crimea was formally absorbed into Russia on 18 March, to international condemnation, after unidentified gunmen took over the peninsula.

Mr Putin said on TV he had ordered work on "returning Crimea" to begin at an all-night meeting on 22 February. The meeting was called after Ukraine's pro-Russian President, Viktor Yanukovych, was ousted from power in Kiev.

So, it appears Putin has his Russian cake and gets to eat it, too.  

In  other words, negotiations facilitated by Angela Merkel prevented more aggressive weapons from being sent to the Ukrainians. At the same time, Putin has the opportunity to move Russian military into defensive positions, to protect his leadership in Moscow.

It's impossible to know where the Ukrainian maneuvers will eventually end up. All I know, as a neophyte observer of international relations, is this - don't trust the Russians and especially don't give President Vladimir Putin any credibility, whatsoever.
