Donald Trump and maga Republicans promised administrative transparency, but guess what? They lied!

Echo opinion letters published in the Baltimore Sun:

(Question- Does the  Baltimore Sun check the authenticity from the people who write letters like the individual named "Gail Householder"❓

In her (the) November 1st letter, a person named Gail Householder speculates that if either President Barack Obama or President Joe Biden had torn down the East Wing of the White House to build a massive ballroom, the “lamestream media” would be falling over themselves to praise the destruction and construction (“Criticism of White House renovation is hypocritical“).  - Maine Writer: IMO it is Gail with the fake name "Householder" who is the hypocrite because whoever he or she is created a premise that just did not exist.

Frankly, we will never know if that’s true, because neither of those presidents chose to do that, probably because they respected the history of the White House and didn’t have the emotional need to build a gilded overwrought monument to themselves (my speculation).

I also found her assertion that “liberals” want “total power, authority and obedience” rather curious, as that is exactly what Donald Trump wants and is doing. But, I guess if it’s your authoritarian who is implementing voting restrictions, indicting political opponents and illegally arresting people based on their looks and denying them legal representation, then total power, authority and obedience seems very, very acceptable.  From— Douglas Kaplan, in Baltimore
