Democracy needs grass roots support from citizens who peacefully protest against Donald Trump's evil Republican administration
Echo opinion letter published in The CAPTimes in Madison, Wisconsin
Dear Editor: Dismayed (also distressed, depressed and angered❗💢)by the actions of President Trump and his administration? Don't wait until the 2026 mid-term election to register your discontent. Your vote is your voice, but the opposite is also true — your voice is your vote. And you can cast that vote by joining one of the over 2,000 nationwide No Kings rallies on October 18. Go to nokings.org to find a rally near you.resident Trump justifies his actions to silence his critics by claiming to have popular support. A massive show of opposition everywhere in the country will let him know he is mistaken, and we will not be intimidated. Your presence at a rally also conveys your support for those who are speaking out despite great personal risk and for those being harmed by our government. The larger the turnout at the rallies the louder our message is amplified.Participation in a No Kings rally is uplifting and energizing. Acting alongside others in your community to protect our democracy is the antidote to feelings of loneliness, despair and helplessness. Come to a rally. Play a part in making it a success by encouraging others to join you. #WhenWeFightWeWin❗
