As have many others, I have found disturbing parallels between the events of 1923 to 1938 in Germany and current events in the United States. Rather than restate previous analyses, I wish merely to point to the nature of what has taken place in Los Angeles these past few days.

Donald Trump, who wrongly asserted the appropriateness of the actions of January 6, 2021, by subsequently pardoning those who had been found guilty of insurrestion actions, contrary to the law and the Constitution, has now taken steps to further assert the just and legitimate 🙄nature of the use of federal force in defense of … what❓

It seems increasingly clear that this Trumpziism provocateur of tumult is taking actions geared toward a declaration of martial law and the verge of civil war. Perhaps one serious question remains: Will those individuals who have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution keep their word❓⚠️⚠️⚠️
