Women's rights are not a zealous religious issue!

Opinion echo published in the Connecticut Post (CTPost) newspaper in Norwalk, CT:

Before the onslaught of letters arrive praising the Supreme Court decision to reverse Roe v Wade, a ruling that rendered me, my daughter, my granddaughter and millions of other women second-class citizens, let me assure these religious zealots that there are many of us who will not stand by as you force us to follow your brand of Christianity/religion.

My father, a WWII vet, lost an eye in battle while fighting for democracy against the Nazis. He didn’t lose an eye so a small minority of religious zealots could force their views and holy books on the entire country.

Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male contraception. It is intended to be a permanent form of contraception and, along with condoms, is one of the only methods of birth control available for men.

In the meantime, the Supreme Court is poised to further their religious zealotry by taking on cases that would render contraceptives, IVF (in vitro fertilization), gay marriage and interracial marriage unconstitutional. 

And, moreover, who knows? Maybe they’ll even come after my marriage, because I am a Christian and my husband is Jewish. 

If you think these radicals on the court won’t come after you, think again, because Hitler didn’t come after the Jewish people first.
