How can Trump's (cult) base still support him?
An opinion letter echo published in the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee:
Trump failed to take action in advance to protect America from the coronavirus, joining with Hannity and Limbaugh that this was all a political conspiracy, i.e., coronavirus is no worse than the seasonal flu. He suppressed coronavirus testing.
Trump varies from denial to wishful thinking, having said the coronavirus is "very well under control." The stock market responded by hitting the skids.
Contrast Trump on this with Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson warning citizens that coronavirus would spread throughout the United Kingdom, and all should be prepared to lose loved ones.
Surely even Trump's base of support will hold him accountable.
