Speaker Nancy Pelosi has defined the terms of "enough is enogh"!
Maine Writer, my hope is that Maine's Senator Susan Collins will pay attention to how Speaker Nancy Pelosi was able to articulate the basis for Articles of Impeachment.
In fact, Senator Collins, when will you finally stand up to Donald Trump and proclaim, "enough is enough!"
Thank you Speaker Pelosi!
This opinion echo letter was published in The New York Times:
Bravo, Nancy!
Our brave and eloquent speaker was correct when she said earlier that impeachment would be so divisive to the country. But President Trump was going to make the coming campaign ugly and divisive anyway. Eleven months is a long time in today’s hurtling political world.
Like Ms. Pelosi, most of us don’t hate Mr. Trump. We just want him out of office, because he is causing potentially irreparable harm to the body politic. I actually feel sorry for him, because he is clearly chronically insecure. How else to explain his own spewing of hatred?
We deserve better. By a substantial margin, we voted for better.
