Political thoughts and prayers for Kirstjen Nielsen

Although Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was probably not a good match to be the Secretary of Homeland Security DHSgov, it seemed to me that she tried to rise to the responsibilities of her important position.

Obviously Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was fired for trying to "do something".  Therefore, she is now deserving of our political "thoughts and prayers" for being shown the White House neon lit exit door.
Ms. Nielsen's professional development has been in contrast to Betsy DeVos, who still seems more appropriate as a salesperson for Amway toilet bowl cleaners than for her position as the Secretary of Education, as she sees fit to run the department into the mud. Between DeVos and HUD Secretary Ben Carson, the two are bookends of political ambitious ineptness.

On the other hand, Nielsen seemed to take her job seriously, which is probably the reason why she was fired by Donald Trump. She wasn't tough enough. It's probably because the person Trump is looking for must be more like Heinrich Himmler, the ghoul who was in charge of Hitler's concentration camps.

In that regard, Nielsen should be proud of any opportunity where she spoke truth to power, if she was able to stand up to Donald Trump. I hope she did.

This echo report published in The Jewish Press.com by
Hana Levi Julian:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has resigned her post in the Trump administration, in a surprise announcement early Sunday evening.

President Donald Trump tweeted the news, saying Nielson “will be leaving her position, and I would like to thank her for her service . . . .."

So, is that the verbal equivalent of seeking "thoughts and prayers"? In other words, Trump has essentially erased yet another Cabinet Secretary just because he can.

In a second, followup tweet, he added that her temporary replacement would be Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner.

Neilsen faced many challenges in her post, but the final reason that prompted her resignation remains unclear. (She has passed through the political thoughts and prayers exit door!)
