Donald Trump discriminates against innocent immigrants - Oklahoma opinion

Letter to the Editor of Tulsa World newspaper in Oklahoma: 

Trump has torn down U.S. world reputation in truth, justice

This is not the America I grew up in. We’re a nation of immigrants, and the benefits have been key to our economic growth, power and intellect as a country.

Immigrants work harder and promote the education of their children more than our own citizens. The percentage of them being criminals and unlawful citizens is also less than has been charged.

Donald Trump’s record of discrimination against anyone of color has long been established and proven. He cares only for himself and no one else.

He intentionally disobeys our laws, limits our rights of free speech and a free press wherever he can and refuses to abide by our Constitution. He is not a true American. He’s masquerading as a politician for the sole purpose of enriching himself.

I’m old enough to remember how proud we were to be a world leader in truth and justice. Trump has changed all that.

Eleven members of his administration have been indicted for crimes in just two years. Not one member of President Obama’s administration was indicted during his eight years in office. I believe that tells us all we need to know.
