Donald Trump and Scott Walker are bookends of stupidity
My unofficial and unsubstantiated opinion is that Scott Walker became the governor of Wisconsin because the Russians have been hacking the state's paperless electronic voting machines since before the 2016 election. In other words, the Russian hackers have been "practice hacking" for longer than anyone will ever admit.
This echo opinion "letter to the editor" (updated by my edits) was published in the Wisconsin Oshkosh Northwester newspaper. The writer describes how sleazy Governor Scott Walker and Donald Trump share negative policy initiatives.
In my mind, their elections were too similarly tainted by Russian computer interventions. Moreover, the two men share anti-patriotic public policy positions as described by Anne Hintz, a letter writer who lives in Oshkosh, WI.
Hintz wrote: I recognize that despite lies, boorishness, substandard English, mockery of the disabled, belittling of war heroes (Senator John McCain), grabbing women’s genitals, marital infidelities, insults to parents of a fallen soldier, admiration for dictators, tariffs, fraudulent university (TrumpU) and foundation, insults to Canada and European allies (“our foes”), some continue to support Trump.
Some describe how they are so proud … though Trump refuses to reveal details about a two-hour secret meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki. They are proud that, after the remarkable decline in abortions and teenage pregnancies, started in 2011, with our best pro-life president ever and his Obamacare provision for contraception for all women, abortion is now, again, increasing.
The “true patriot” managed to remove that abortion-stopping provision. As Catholics, we were proud of President Obama, now ashamed of Donald Trump. How can Trump supporters be proud of all the increase in abortions?
The Associated Press reports “The current bull market in stocks is a month or so away from becoming the longest in history…Many expect the rally that began in March 2009 to eclipse even the 1990-2000 run.” So are Trump supporters proud that 85 percent of this historic Wall Street run occurred under President Barack Obama, as did the reduction by more than half in unemployment, the historic low for black unemployment, the tripling of the stock market from 6,600 to 19,000 and cutting the deficit in half? The deficit under Trump will hit $1 trillion soon. This is the wrong direction for America. But the Trumpzis say they are proud? American families are struggling to make ends meet because of rising food, medicine, health care, insurance premiums, education and housing costs.
Scott Walker ignored pleas for proper funding for transportation and education and offered eight times more in subsidies to a Taiwanese firm than has ever been offered to a Wisconsin firm.
Neither Scott Walker or Donald Trump are American patriots. (MaineWriter~ In my opinion, both of them are holding political offices because the Russians hacked the Wisconsin paperless ballot voting machines. It's merely my theory, but I know expert hackers are capable of doing clandestine computer damage and, without a paper trail, they will, most likely, never be caught.)
