New Hampshire opinion - another way to expose treason

Consider this? In 2018~ this could be the year of a 21st century Benedict Arnold.  (Maine Writer ~Perhaps Steve Bannon or others might even seek asylum in Great Britain? Just like Benedict.)

In the world of military intelligence, for which Wayne F. Merritt was was a linguist/debriefer, half a lifetime ago, the phrase "Intelligent Asset", meant any resource - person or group, relationship, instrument, installation or supply, person, or group- at the disposition of any intelligence organization for use in an operational support or role. 

Often used with a qualifying term as agent asset or propaganda asset, I'd never personally heard this phrase used to describe a sitting president of the the United ,(POTUS), until Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper used "Intelligent Asset", when describing a series of peculiar calls and encounters between #45 and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Clapper told a national audience, "The past weekend is a great demonstration, to me, of what a great case officer Vladimir Putin is. He knows how to handle an asset and that's what he is doing with the president (Donald Trump). You have to remember what Putin's background is. He's a KGB officer. That is what they do."

Clapper had actually presided over an intelligence briefing in January 2017, for #45, with VP-elect Pence, the designated National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and Designated Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) adviser Mike Pompeo, et. al., where they were fully briefed.  "We assessed Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016, aimed at the US presidential election. Russia's goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Hillary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian government developed a clear preference for Donald Trump."  

Additionally, the CIA presented #45's transition team an intelligence stream that had captured Putin's specific instructions to carry out said influence campaign.

To substantiate Clapper's assessment of Donald Trump, I recently heard Luke Harding, a Russian affairs expert, discuss his new book, "Collusion" with Terry Gross on National Public Radio's radio show "Fresh Air", and informed her that there appears to be an emerging pattern of collusion between Russia, #45, and his campaign and how Russia appears to have started cultivating #45, as far back as the year 1987!

Obviously, I can see the year 2018, as being the year named "Benedict Arnold", but it will (likely be) renamed and replaced as the synonym for "traitor".
