America must stop the Trump lies ~ what can we do?

Deterioration of discourse

Here I am, wringing my hands as the discourse continues to deteriorate. We have always had factions in America; I simply, naively believed that the factions that spewed hate and prejudice had been relegated to the darkest corners.

I am certain I am not the only person who has felt my patience wither; who has to fight to find my courtesy; who has lost the hope that promised a better world, not just for America.

Watching men and women grovel, lie or merely fail to tell the truth — I guess that is the new standard for our elected officials.

Republicans who historically claimed the moral high ground are making statements diametrically opposed to their own rhetoric. What does this all mean? We have come to a point that a roomful of people cannot or will not "hear" what is being said!

All the hullabaloo when President Barack Obama forgot his flag pin, yet the same folks see no problem with treason and anarchy in the White House. How can anyone condone the behavior of this president and claim that the rest of us are wrong to criticize him? 

I am asking — what are we going to do...?*
