Consoler in Chief- President Obama eulogizes 15 horrific mass murders

Too many euologies - not the legacy President Obama envisioned.

It's a sad legacy but, in fact, President Obama has become our nation's consoler in chief. This blog has a link to a few of the 15 times President Obama has spoken about the preventable tragedies caused by gun violence in America. 

It's impossible to understand how or why Republicans will not repond, to fix this preventable public health hazard. In fact, the Republican hero President Abraham Lincoln was among the litany of political leaders who were among gun violence victims.

We continue to seek President Obama to be the eulogist who expresses unimaginable grief at too many memorial 
serives for victims of preventable mass murders. Yet, the US Congress won't do anything to end this difficult oratory task.

President Obama speaks about the frequency of mass murders perpetrated by preventable gun violence.

“We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world,” Obama told CBS News following the shooting that left at least 14 dead and at least 17 wounded inside a San Bernardino CA social services office.

“There’s some steps we could take, not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don’t happen as frequently; common sense gun safety laws, stronger background checks,” he said. “And for those who are concerned about terrorism, some may be aware of the fact that we have a no-fly list where people can’t get on planes. But those same people we don’t allow to fly could go into a store right now in the United States and buy a firearm and there’s nothing we can do to stop them.”

Obama’s passionate plea came almost exactly two months after President Obama addressed the nation, following a shooting at an Oregon community college, that left nine people dead.

Republicans are obstructionts. Their dangerous narrow mindedness will cause their political party to dissolve into a sea of right wing "kook-aid" drinkers (that's not a typo-error, either.) They are headed for group think suicide.
