Senator Susan Collins bought and paid for with plenty of out of state dark money traced to millionaires and billionaires
Echo social media report by the Honorable Bonnie Titcomb Lewis, in Standish, Maine.
An out of state group of 💰💸💲💲millionaires and billionaires named their political action committee after the Maine Pine Tree😡💢 ❗Apparently they were hoping that we Mainers will see their constant negative campaign ads as some kind of local thing! But its funding certainly is not❗The Pine Tree Results PAC is totally from away❗
It is a federal super PAC formed to support only U.S. Senator Susan Collins but it is funded by prominent conservative dark-money nonprofits, out-of-state corporate interests, and wealthy billionaire donors. No matter which candidates one might support in any race, it is important to look at who is paying their campaign ads and ask yourselves why. Almost without exception, these particular Pine Tree ads are a constant flow of millions of dollars of negativity.
The single largest contributor to this PAC is Stronger America, Inc. (a Virginia-based 501(c)(4) that does not disclose its specific donors), which gave 💲3 million.
Other dark-money groups include the Lexington Fund (tied to conservative activist Leonard Leo) with 💲1 million, and the Condorcet Initiative Corp.
Billionaire Donors: Major individual contributions of 💲1 million to 💲2.5 million include Citadel LLC CEO Ken Griffin, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, hedge-fund manager Paul Singer, New Balance Chairman Jim Davis, and Liberty Media Corp. Chairman Emeritus John Malone.Corporate Contributors: Companies like Altria Client Services and Newsmax Media have also provided funding for what is obviously an endless supply of campaign cash.
