Republicans must impeach Donald Trump because he is a Russian asset who is putting US national security in danger

Trump proves he is a Putin puppet- Russian asset mut be impeached.
Echo opinion letter published in the Ventura County Star VC Star (below).
Kermit Zarley blog:  Last Friday’s February 28 meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President J. D. Vance with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office of the White House was most disturbing, to say the least.

Trump and Vance berated this brave Ukraine president whose nation has been attacked by Russia that is destroying it for three years.

They repeatedly accused Zelenskyy of having a bad attitude in not expressing his thanks to the U.S. for its military support of Ukraine, which frankly I consider quite lame under the circumstances.

It wasn’t Trump but President Joe Biden who gave Ukraine that military support. In actuality, Zelenskyy thanked the U.S. many times publicly in front of television cameras in the U.S., in Europe, and was even doing it right then while Trump was yelling at him and both were talking over each other. This televised event looked like a planned ambush (David Remnick editor of the New Yorker called it a "mugging") of Zelenskyy even though it had been billed as a discussion about Ukraine giving rare earth metals to the U.S. as part of a proposed peace agreement with Russia

Letter to the Ventura County Star:  Donald Trump is negotiating an end to the Ukraine war with Putin,
but without Zelensky. He’s pulled out of the Paris Agreement to mitigate climate change. He’s threatened to pull out of NATO, which is effectively unilateral disarmament. Alliances depend on the reliability of their members. Threatening to pull out is saying, “You can’t depend on us.”

He’s installed an anti-vaccine advocate to head Health and Human Services, just as bird flu threatens to cross over to humans. He’s alienating our largest trading partners with tariffs and threats of military annexation. He’s installed Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, thus ensuring that no friendly nation will share intelligence with the U.S. lest it be transmitted to Moscow. At the same time, he’s sending Kash Patel to purge thousands of FBI agents.

Isn't it perfectly clear that Trump is a Russian asset❓ Maybe he’s been a mole or maybe he’s been flipped by an offer of a hotel in Moscow. But either way, Trump is a Putin puppet.

Fire Fox News! Fox News is a fake news greedy media machine

Revoke Fox’s broadcast license!

Opinion echo published in the Ventura County News, in California:

Today I submitted a complaint to the FCC.
It was in response to the recent revelations in the Dominion lawsuit about the lies, conspiracy theories and corruption permeating Fox News, from the broadcast staff to management and ownership.

Like so many citizens, I have relatives and friends who have been taken in, seduced, and brainwashed by those lies. Evidence indicates Fox News was motivated by greed — that they could lose viewers and, therefore, money. The decision to deceive Fox viewers with a steady stream of falsehoods and exaggerations is like providing drugs, or alcohol, or even cigarettes to an addict.

Unfortunately, at some point reality has no effect on the Trump cult members.
Fox News has been granted a broadcast license to use the American airwaves that belong to all of us. Their reckless disregard for the public welfare, and naked thirst for profits, represents a fraud on American citizens. It is a breach of any journalistic standard, and of the responsibility conferred by their license.

I invite anyone who is outraged by the recent revelations of the deplorable activities at Fox News, or anyone who has a family member or friend corrupted by Fox’s lies and conspiracy theory nonsense, to contact the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and lodge your complaint.

The Fox News broadcast license should be revoked.

Ron DeSantis is building a campaign of misinformation and hate

An echo opinion letter published in the Ventura County Star newspaper, in California:

Re: March 7 story, “Florida Gov. DeSantis draws protests to Reagan library”:
In an attempt to spread his message of hate, (failed) Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated it was not possible for a child to choose their gender.

The laws in Florida denying the rights of people to determine who they are is nothing more than the dumbing down of Americans.

Hate is exacerbated by radical right-wing organizations like (Fake!) Fox News whose CEO admitted in a sworn deposition that he knew his broadcasters were lying.
Freedom of the press does not include spewing political propaganda.
(Maine Writer- unfortunately all free speech is protected.)

Taking away the rights of women to determine their own body autonomy, making laws that deny historic facts, banning books and forcing religious views on others through legislation is contributing to the division in our country. Controlling the press and passing laws that make it legal to hurt those who are different is how the Nazis came to power.

In a democracy, those who govern are determined by voters. When enough people vote, those who would divide us become unable to force their views on the rest of us.

Republicans are the problem. Reality training in required

Republicans speak with forked tongue.

Keep backing Ukraine; GOP doesn't back words:
Keep providing aid to Ukraine!

Why defund Ukrainian aid? When we send arms and aid to Ukraine, we drain Russia’s military without risking American lives. When talking about appropriate and effective assistance going toward our military goals I can’t think of a better scenario, at least for America.

It also puts our money where our mouths are (so to speak) when saying our goal is to promote democracy around the globe.

GOP’s actions speak volumes
Republicans are hypocrites. They say one thing for political advantage and then they do the opposite.

Republicans claim to love the Constitution, be pro-life, be for small government, and be the party of law and order.

Let’s see:

Republicans need reality teaching!

  • While claiming to “love the Constitution,” you want to stop the peaceful transfer of power.
  • While claiming to “love the Constitution,” you restrict voting rights for people who don’t look like you.
  • While claiming to “love the Constitution,” you disenfranchise eligible citizens so they can’t vote.
  • While claiming to “love the Constitution,” you participate in (or cause) an insurrection to overthrow our government.
  • While claiming to “love the Constitution,” you ignore the Supreme Court’s orders regarding gerrymandering.
  • While claiming to be “pro-life,” you tried to take away healthcare over 70 times.
  • While claiming to be “pro-life,” you support forced pregnancy.
  • While claiming to be “pro-life,” you want to end Social Security and Medicare.
  • While claiming to be for “pro-life,” you create the greatest wealth inequality since the 1930s.
  • While claiming to be “pro-life,” you propose eliminating the protection of pesky “regulations” so corporations can do anything they want.
  • While claiming to be “pro-life,” you endanger every living thing on the planet by denying climate change.
  • While claiming to be for “small government,” you insert the government in to every OBGYN’s office.
  • While claiming to stand for “law and order,” you go along with subjugating and politicizing the Judicial branch of government to the president’s or your party’s whims.
  • While claiming to stand for “law and order,” you allow a complete fraud to be a sitting Congressman and chair of two committees.

Yes, hypocritic Republicans, your partisan political actions speak much louder than your words.
