Donald Trump and maga Republicans circulate lies about America's tumbling economy caused by Trump's failed decisions

Echo opinion letter published in the Duluth News-Tribune:

Trump-supporting Republicans should be ashamed

Minnesotans — from truck drivers to farmers to small-business owners to single moms trying to feed their families — are having to endure economic hardship with no end in sight.

Recently, in my mailbox, I found a flyer supporting a Republican candidate and suggesting Democrats were responsible for the record-high gas and diesel prices. 

Apparently, Republicans believe American voters are chumps, because it could not be clearer that the pain we feel at the gas pumps is the direct result of the foolhardy Republican-supported Middle-East quagmire that President Donald Trump waded into. And no Minnesota Republicans — at the state or local level — have had the courage to speak up loudly enough to say we must reverse course. It’s disgusting.

Minnesotans — from truck drivers to farmers to small-business owners to single moms trying to feed their families — are having to endure economic hardship with no end in sight. Prices continue to rise, interest rates climb, and local businesses struggle to stay open. Meanwhile, Republicans in office continue to stand by and support Trump and his gang of self-dealing billionaires. Through the disastrous Iran war, ridiculous tariffs, and decimation of the U.S. labor force, Trump and his friends enrich themselves while ordinary folks here in the Arrowhead are forced to look to food pantry shelves to make ends meet.

Minnesota Republicans deserve to be condemned for their complicity with the corrupt Trump administration. They should be ashamed of themselves❗ We should not support anyone, Democrat or Republican, who is unwilling to call out the lies, self-dealing, and destructive policies of the current Trump administration. Cowards do not deserve our support.
