Election 2020 outcome is legal and valid: No voter fraud!

Echo opinion letter published in my favorite newspaper

Donald Trump is stupid!  #SIASD

Why is there even any discussion about voting irregularities?

Has everyone forgotten that in 2017, Donald Trump ordered the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, led by Kris Kobach, to investigate any and all voting integrity questions?

This commission spent nearly a year investigating voter fraud before it was disbanded without any fanfare.

The reason it went away quietly was that the results of the investigation did not agree with their pre-ordained outcome (!).

The only organized voter fraud that could document was in one district of North Carolina, where the GOP was illegally harvesting ballots. This resulted in a new election.

Simply stated, there was no evidence of voter fraud in the 2020,  election.

The “ballot dumps” that Trump keeps citing are merely the tabulations of the absentee ballots.

Immunization advocacy reported in Oklahoma

Tulsa World echo opinion: Linnea Waite, Broken Arrow

This pre-baby boomer knows about vaccinations.

Remembering the advent of vaccines

I remember as a child going out each evening to bring in the Houston Chronicle so Dad and I could enjoy the comics together.

Once I learned to read, I remember checking the box on the front page that listed new polio cases, deaths and crippling cases each day.

There were plenty of posters showing children with braces on crutches and in wheelchairs. The newspaper had pictures of people in iron lungs; girls and women with hair fixed in ribbons and barrettes while men and boys were well-groomed.

But in my child's mind, I couldn't understand how a person could live a life in a giant tube with just their head sticking out!

I was 10 or 12 when the polio vaccine became available. There were mass immunizations available around the whole area. The whole family went.

Workers put serum on sugar cubes. We opened our mouths, in the cubes went and down the hatch. Just that easy.

No more being afraid of polio.

Many dedicated professionals spent their lives working to make that day happen.

The same is true for many other diseases that can kill or maim us.

Get the immunizations!

There are plenty of ways to get roughed up in today's environment. Why let something you can't even see coming rough you up when it can be prevented?

An Oklahoma point of view- vote Republicans out of office!

Congresswoman Kendra Horn is a Democrat who won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, from Oklahoma
Letter to the editor published in Tulsa World news Oklahoma

Not happy with Republican Party by Howard Gordineer, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

I am proud of the Congressional District 5 folks who bravely voted in Kendra Horn* over Steve Russell. Oklahoma Republican officials are going to keep us poor, as Gov. Mary Fallin did for eight years. And, they will keep our state to lower or at the lowest level of being poor in the whole country.

The state Republicans are still failing to show their support for our state schools and teachers.

At the federal level, U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky (MaineWriter opinion- he's being subject to some kind of kompromat!) could not say no or disagree with stupid Donald Trump on anything. Maybe because McConnell's wife is sitting in Trump's cabinet, as the (IMO often looking hypnotized) U.S. secretary of transportation.

It's still unbelievable and disgusting that so many Oklahomans voted to elect Republican federal and state officials last November.

We Americans better start getting rid of Republicans by voting in November 2020. Period!

*Kendra Suzanne Horn (born June 9, 1976) is an American attorney, politician, and activist representing Oklahoma's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, since 2019. She is the first Democrat to be elected to the 5th district seat in 44 years, the first Democrat to be elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Oklahoma in 8 years, the first Democratic woman elected to Congress from Oklahoma, and the third woman elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Oklahoma.
