Florida book banning is sweeping The Diary of Ann Frank out of school libraries

Book bans are an excuse for antisemitism.
Book banning in Florida
Escambia County, on Florida’s westernmost end, has pulled around 1,500 books, citing a new law that went into effect over the summer that targets novels with depictions of “sexual conduct.” Those removed have included multiple dictionaries and thesauruses and multiple issues of "Ripley's Believe It or Not!"

Anne Frank's "The Diary of a Young Girl" also was pulled.
Annelies Marie Frank was a German-born Jewish girl (b. Frankfurt Germany 1929) who kept a diary in which she documented life in hiding under Nazi persecution during the German occupation of the Netherlands.

In Central Florida’s Orange County, more than 600 books have been removed from classroom libraries for the same reason, according to data provided by the school district.
Echo opinion letters published in the Orlando Sentinel Florida newspaper:
Dear Editor: I was incensed after reading about the decision by the Orange County School Board to remove many Jewish books from the district. It is disheartening to read that Holocaust literature, such as “The Diary of Anne Frank,” is included in the “cleanout,” as well as other books of Jewish identity.

It is crucial to every generation post-World War II to read authentic, classic literature which exemplifies life from this period.  The justification mentioned, that these books included references to human sexuality, sounds like an excuse to practice antisemitism.

They will ensure that young American students grow up without tolerance for people who are not like them. #antisemitism

In praise of Dr. Anthony S. Fauci: A dedicated public health expert

"Like #TFG Trump, DeSantis has a cruel method to his madness", Roger Sakolove, echo opinion published in The Palm Beach Post, Florida newspaper.

Thank you Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., NIAID Director:

Echo from Boynton Beach, FL with Maine Writer inserts:

The defense for rape or assault often centers around impugning the reputation of and demonizing the victim.

Weinstein did it (and failed!). Trump did it- Ugh- repeatedly.

Bill Cosby did it. Maxwell did it. That’s exactly what (#SIASD! IOW "idiot") Governor Ron DeSantis is doing to (the public health hero!) Dr. Anthony Fauci, as he calls for Fauci’s imprisonment – to raise money for his re-election or, even more chilling, for his (#SIASD delusional) presidential run.

The unwarranted brutalization of Dr. Fauci by stupid Ron DeSantis began  innocently(is there really such a think?) enough, with DeSantis fundraising through “Don’t Fauci Me” t-shirts and koozies. Perfectly harmless, right (dumb!) Ron? But the call to imprison Dr. Fauci has taken this cruel and evil “joke” to a new level.

".. DiSantis apparently has no core beliefs other than the unshakable conviction that he should sit in the Oval Office."

I’m sure the “fringers,” who see Dr. Fauci and his medical science as some kind of threat to their personal freedom, will have more dangerous thoughts about the octogenarian who the Governor calls a felon. Absurd rumors continue to spread about Dr. Fauci making money from the pandemic, just as the previous administration fostered conspiracies about doctors selling ventilators and personal protection equipment at the height of COVID-19.

Like (Dumpti) Trumpti, DeSantis has a cruel method to his madness. Assault people of exceptionally good character. Propagate lies. Assail the truth. All under some warped concept of Trumpzi-upped patriotism and freedom.

I fear for Dr. Fauci. I applaud Dr. Fauci's strength, leadership and experience. I hope he can survive the brutal assault engineered by Ron DeSantis and his cult of accomplices.

Donald Trump is a failed leader: What would UK's Queen Elizabeth do?

https://www.palmbeachpost.com/opinion/20200413/letters-british-queen-reminds-us-what-compassionate-leader-sounds-like

Echo opinion letter published in teh Palm Beach Post newspaper, in Florida:

Americans watched recently as the United Kingdom’s Queen Elizabeth II, spoke on television to her people, in a most compassionate, thoughtful and supporting manner, encouraging them, complimenting them and inspiring them in the midst of the dreadful pandemic we are all dealing with.

Her British countrymen and women can be very proud to have a leader who speaks directly to them in their time of distress, frustration and danger. We in the United States, on the other hand, unfortunately, are not being inspired by an often angry, vindictive and ratings-conscious narcissist.

In fact, Donald Trump has shown himself to be clueless as to how to be an inspiring leader (in fact, Trump is un-inspiring!), and is now turning to his equally clueless son-in-law #Sucker_Kushner to take incompetent charge of the battle against the dangerous coronavirus pandemic. #25thAmendmentNow
