Americans must express anger against Donald Trump's maga evil racist rants and hideous social media messages

Letter to the Editor: Racist Imagery Threatens the Moral Core of Our Democracy published in Door County Pulse,  in Wisconsin, on February 11th, 2026.

Donald Trump posted a racially obscene image on his (fake social) social media platform depicting former President Barack Obama and former beautiful First Lady Michelle Obama with their faces placed on the bodies of primates.

I am appalled and deeply disturbed that such an evil racist image was posted and that when questioned, Trump reportedly indicated he had done nothing wrong.

This is one of the oldest and most dehumanizing racial attacks in our history. When someone entrusted with immense authority amplifies such imagery, it does more than offend – it signals to the world that the erosion of human dignity is permissible.

We must ask ourselves: Who are we, as a people
What vision of humanity do we uphold We must call Mr. Trump out. We must vote him and those who support this behavior out of office. Even more importantly, we must reclaim the moral ground on which our civic life depends. Let your friends, colleagues, and neighbors know that you stand for the inherent worth and dignity of every human being, not because it is politically convenient, but because it is ethically necessary.
Our Declaration of Independence, which states that “all men [people] are created equal,” offers not simply a historical phrase, but rather a philosophical claim about the nature of human existence. It asserts that dignity is not granted by power, wealth, or status – it is intrinsic. It belongs to all of us or it belongs to none of us. To abandon this belief is to abandon the moral architecture of our democracy.

Let your friends and neighbors know ❗ This hideous racist (evil) behavior from Trump, about our beloved nation is simply and totally unacceptable. We must all hold fast to the values that make us human and to the ideals that make this nation worth striving for.

Donald Trump and maga Republicans are using vile language and vindictive cruely to destroy American democracy

Echo Letter to the Editor published in the Door County Pulse in Wisconsin: Our Democracy is Being Destroyed

I believe that every day our democracy is being destroyed by Donald Trump with what I believe are his divisive and unconstitutional executive orders and policies. Unfortunately, there is almost complete silence from our elected congressional Republicans.

Congressional Republicans have left Congress for what’s now been a two-week “vacation” with the government shutdown. Are they afraid to sit down and work on a compromise to save health care for millions of Americans
Are they so intimidated by Donald Trump that they won’t object to or question the legality of ICE raids

Doesn’t it upset them to see young children handcuffed with zip ties and herded into vans

Do Republican legislators really think we should declare war on foreign cartels
Do they believe our state National Guard troops should be sent to “Democratic” cities when the mayors, governors, and local law enforcement officials have not asked for them

The insulting, vile language and the vindictive and cruel policies coming out of the White House don’t look or sound like the America I know. I know Americans are better than this

It’s hard to know what to do to stop what’s happening to our country. But, I do know many Americans want a respectful President who respects truth, the rule of law, and our Constitution. We have the chance to make a difference and to speak out with a huge robust but peaceful outpouring of Americans at the next NO
👑KINGS Marches on this October 18, 2026. NO 👑KINGS marches will be happening all over Wisconsin and America. If you’re upset with what’s happening to our country, find a march near you and join us!

Donald Trump ignores the oath he took on January 20th. Donald Trump is not qualified to lead America

Donald Trump was elected to be president, not our king.❗
Echo opinion published in the Door County Pulse news in Wisconsin.

With his wife standing next to him holding two Bibles, he took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution of the United States. Our elected members of Congress take the same oath.

It seems to me that our president and most Republicans in Congress don’t understand or haven’t read the Constitution they pledged their loyalty to. As our Constitution states, we have three separate but equal branches of government.

Republican representatives better step up fast and exert their power to stop what is happening in Washington. Agencies that were established by Congress, that make our country run and that keep our citizens safe and proud to be Americans, are being ripped apart, left barely functioning, or completely decimated.

What makes our country great is the democracy we live in.

We did not elect Elon Musk to gut and destroy federal agencies and departments that make our lives safe, healthy and educated. Our congressional members represent us, not the will and the whims of a rogue president who thinks he has unlimited power and is not subject to Judicial orders.

I see this as a critical time for our country as we know it. We have to speak up everywhere and all the time. Otherwise, our free press, our right to due process, our right to have good public schools, our right for our economy to remain strong without Donald Trump’s disastrous tariff war, and the list goes on, will be gone, possibly lost forever.

If you have some of these same concerns, I encourage you to do whatever you can: write or call your congressional representatives, peacefully demonstrate, write letters, talk to your family and friends. If our elected Republican officials won’t do their job and choose to be minions of Donald Trump, then we have to step up and speak up.
